Conceptually, the
estimation process is pretty straightforward. Data is entered by the
estimator on several sheets within the estimate file. This data
flows to the required locations for recapping of the final bid amount on
the Cost Recap Sheet. The figure below depicts the process of
creating an estimate in this manner. As seen in the figure, material
and buyouts are taken from a sharable database available to all estimate
files. Additionally, a sorted material list can be automatically
generated from the material sheet. The remaining pages of this
