 The
estimating process starts by entering the job’s steel components on the
Material Sheet. These elements are arranged in groups with
headings, e.g. Columns, Beams, Eaves, etc. As data is entered, the
estimator may chose to manually type the name of the part or to use the
Part Selection dialog box to select the desired item. The
corresponding material data is located in the Parts Database and
transferred to the Material Sheet. Once the steel takeoff is
complete, the estimator moves on to the Buyout Sheet. |
