A significant feature of
MEI Steel Estimating Software is its ability to audit a completed
estimate. During the audit process, each
of the sheets is automatically reviewed for missing or incompatible data
and the user is alerted if potential errors are identified. Obviously,
the software cannot detect errors where an incorrect number has been
entered, e.g. 1% profit instead of 10%, or when material has been omitted. However, it is useful in
identifying missing data such as when width has not been provided for
plate material.
When the audit is
performed, a message box indicating how many errors were identified is
displayed. If errors are detected, they are written to an Audit Results
Sheet. By double clicking any error on this sheet, the user will be taken
to the source of the error. |
